type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1639654729177{background-color: #ffffff !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_inner css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1639654809595{padding-right: 45px !important;padding-left: 45px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"internas-titul\">WHAT IS INDUSTRIAL RADIOGRAPHY?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Industrial radiography<\/strong> is a <strong>non-destructive test<\/strong> that consists of passing through the component to be tested with a beam of ionizing electromagnetic radiation (gamma rays or X-rays).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This radiation will be more or less absorbed by the internal discontinuities of the piece, reaching the other side of it, with a different radiation intensity, and impressing a <strong>radiographic film<\/strong>, which, once developed, shows the location of these discontinuities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Among the <strong>Industrial Radiography<\/strong> techniques performed at <a href=\"https:\/\/scifrancesa.fr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SCI<\/a> we highlight the following:<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1639742702193{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 25px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;80px&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"internas-titul\">CONVENTIONAL RADIOGRAPHY<\/h2>\n<p><strong>SCI<\/strong> has the following equipment for industrial radiography:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"lista-interna\">\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i> Portable <strong>gammagraphy<\/strong> equipment with Ir192, Se75 sources.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i> Fixed gammagraphy equipment for <strong>use in bunkers<\/strong> with Co60 sources.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i> Portable <strong>X-ray<\/strong> equipment up to 360 kV for use in bunkers and construction sites.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i> Constant <strong>potential X-Ray<\/strong> equipment up to 450 Kv for use in bunkers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>In most of its branches, <strong>SCI<\/strong> has <strong>bunkers<\/strong> for radiography. These flexible supports are processed in a <strong>digital scanner<\/strong> that displays the<strong> radiographic image<\/strong> on a computer screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>SCI<\/strong> has both <strong>DR<\/strong> and <strong>CR<\/strong> systems, being able to offer the best service and advice according to customer needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The <strong>fields of application<\/strong> of <strong>digital radiography<\/strong> are essentially the same as those of <strong>conventional radiography<\/strong>, although the use of specific software for image analysis allows <strong>new applications of this test method<\/strong>. Among these new applications we <strong>can highlight<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Thickness measurement<\/strong> of calorifuged pipe.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of <strong>porosity areas<\/strong> in components.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thickness measurement of components.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><div class=\"qode-advanced-tab-container\" id=\"tab-digitization-of-radiographs-158\" data-icon-pack=\"\" data-icon-html=\"\">[vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;contenido-lista&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>As a complement to digital radiography, the <strong>Digitization of Conventional Radiographs service<\/strong> represents an innovation in the preservation of radiographic records (films), solving the problems of archiving them.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>digitization<\/strong> of radiographic plates is performed with <strong>very high resolution scanners<\/strong>, which allows the resolution and quality of the digitized images to be similar to those of the conventional radiographic plate.<\/p>\n<p>The digital images obtained can be treated in a similar way to conventional radiographic plates.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><div class=\"qode-advanced-tab-container\" id=\"tab-automatic-radiography-847\" data-icon-pack=\"\" data-icon-html=\"\">[vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;contenido-lista&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Since <strong>Crawler<\/strong> type equipment for <strong>Automated Radiographic Inspection of Gas and Oil Pipelines<\/strong> started to be used in <strong>Spain<\/strong>, pipeline inspection has been greatly optimized. This equipment makes it possible to examine a large number of welds in less time and with higher quality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SCI<\/strong>designs and manufactures its own <strong>Crawler equipment<\/strong>, suitable for diameters from <strong>3\u2033 to 60\u2033<\/strong>, which has allowed SCI to position itself as a <strong>leader in Spain in the market for the inspection of oil and gas pipelines during their construction<\/strong>.
